Reading Beer Festival: Campaigners Fight for British Pubs

Campaigners at the Reading Beer Festival say that pub companies are causing local, privately owned pubs to be forced out of business through high beer prices. However, pub companies claim they aid landlords.
In this BBC report they bring up the issue of the economy and how the number of jobs in these companies benefits Britain, but is the economy just a handy tool to say "let us continue to make money, whatever the cost"?

Shockingly, on average 18 pubs close in Britain every week! I believe these proposed reforms need to go through, not only for the economic benefit the small pubs have, but also the boost for the community which we all seem to need...

Tell us your thoughts or just watch the BBC report here.
